RRM018 Stringtown: this is by far the finest authentic Stringtown that I have ever been privileged to call part of my collection. It was part of a old Ohio collection and was recovered in Wayne County, Ohio. Made of a black colored Coshocton Chert and measures 4 1/8" x 1 7/16". Dwain Rogers evaluated the piece and issued a Certificate of Authenticity deeming that he believes it is genuinely old & authentic. It is large, symmetrical, made of a highly collectible material and falls into the Early Archaic Period. Some refer to these as Eastern Scottsbluff Points. The base is eared and the hafting area is ground.
